Beautiful purebred Blue Merle BLUE is a three year-old Aussie with lots and lots of love to give and moderate energy for a fun and active person or people. BLUE is a perfect size for a medium standard Aussie just 45lbs so he’s great to take places hop in and out of the car sit with a person or two at an outdoor venue. BLUE is the definition of a in Australian Shepherd; he is the quintessential Velcro Aussie, who wants to follow his person or people everywhere and anywhere they go. He’s absolutely loyal and loving to humans but is better with teenagers or adults, not little children. BLUE loves to play games outside he can catch a frisbee. He loves to fetch a ball and bring it back to you, but his initial response to a new home is going to be wanting to be with the humans as much as possible. BLUE also knows lots of basic commands and is food driven as well as praise motivated to work on commands and learn new tricks. This guy is absolutely eager to please beyond measure! As far as other BLUE is a terrific playmate for an equally moderate canine companion; he would probably also be happy to be the only dog, but for someone who is around most of the time someone who works from home, empty-nesters or young retirees who would enjoy leash walking him. BLUEs energy is quite adjustable because as well as outdoor activities and leash walks. He’s also happy to lie at your feet if you’re working on the laptop or sit next to you while you’re watching TV or a movie - he really just wants humans to hang out with! We have BLUE at DASH because his owners had a toddler and a new baby and they aren’t able to give him the kind of attention and affection they could before they had children; like everyone who surrenders their pet they are heartbroken to have made this decision but know that it’s in his best interest for the rest of his long life ahead! We are looking for a fun and moderately active home for BLUE that is balanced with a calm environment, where he can relax, but also the opportunities for walks and outdoor play and if there’s a Canine Companion then that would be wonderful too! We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD. General Info - PLEASE READ!
