Name: Maisie Best Guess for Breed: Jack Russell terrier mix Best Guess for Age: 3 years as of July 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 9.6 lbs Gets Along With: Maisie does well with other dogs and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog. We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here. Special adoption considerations: Maisie was rescued from a hoarding situation in South Carolina. She has not been well socialized with new people and has lived her whole life with other dogs. New nosies, cars, bikes, and other things may create fear and anxiety. She will need a patient adopter who can give her time to come out of their shell and learn that the world is a wonderful and welcoming place. And because she is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes. Maisie is Looking For: Her forever home, filled with snuggles and opportunities to see the world! One where she is a cherished part of a family. She's very sweet and SO ready to be a Real Dog.
