**CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE - BY APPOINTMENT ONLY** Meet Hopper! If you think three legs means slowing down, Hopper would like to respectfully prove you wrong. This handsome 4-month-old Domestic Shorthair kitten came into our care as a very young kitten after suffering a severely broken rear leg that simply couldn't be repaired. The best option to give him a pain-free, happy life was amputation, and Hopper hasn't looked back since. After surgery, he spent time recovering in a loving foster home where he quickly discovered that life is pretty wonderful. He made friends with other cats, enjoyed the company of respectful dogs, charmed every person he met, and perfected the art of being an adorable little troublemaker. Today, Hopper is a confident, social, and incredibly playful kitten who doesn't consider himself any different from the rest of the feline world—and honestly, neither do we. He tears through the house chasing toys, wrestles with his feline friends, zooms from room to room, and embraces every adventure with enthusiasm. Watching him get around is nothing short of impressive and serves as a daily reminder of just how resilient animals truly are. In fact, Hopper comes with a few built-in perks! He has fewer nails to trim, which means one less tiny razor blade to wrestle during manicure day. He's also a little less likely to become an Olympic-level cat tree mountaineer or an expert countertop explorer... although we can't promise he won't still try. After all, he's still a kitten, and curiosity remains fully intact. Most importantly, Hopper is not considered a special needs cat. He doesn't need anyone feeling sorry for him or treating him differently. He simply needs a family who will love him for the goofy, affectionate, playful little guy he is. Whether he's batting around his favorite toys, chasing imaginary enemies through the house, soaking up attention from his people, or snuggling in after a busy day of kitten adventures, Hopper approaches every moment with a joyful spirit that is impossible not to admire. Hopper may have one less leg than most cats, but he has every bit as much personality, love, and happiness to share. His journey has already shown him that life is full of second chances. Now all he needs is the family who will make the rest of his story the best chapter yet. If you're looking for a kitten who will make you smile every single day, Hopper is ready to hop right into your heart and stay there furever.
