Sardine — Playful, Polite, and Full of Calico Charm Meet Sardine, affectionately known as Dinie or Dinie Girl. This beautiful calico was rescued from Fresno in 2020 and has been charming everyone she meets ever since. Sardine is a FIP Warrior who has long since completed her remission period and is thriving. Dinie is the total package—playful, affectionate, and wonderfully well-mannered. She loves spending time with her people and enjoys chin scratches, ear rubs, and gentle pets along her back. She also happens to be quite the little athlete. Her favorite games include chasing laser pointers, pouncing on strings, and hunting rabbit fur mice. Give her a cardboard box with a few strategically placed holes and she'll happily spend hours playing "sneak attack" with her favorite toys. When she's not playing, Sardine can usually be found lounging on a cozy blanket, watching birds from the window, or enjoying a fresh breeze. She’s an excellent mouser, loves her daily brushing sessions, and happily accepts her weekly nail trims like the well-behaved lady she is. She's even learned a few commands and understands "down," "off," and the snap of fingers that means "no." Sardine has food allergies, so she eats a prescription diet to keep her happy and healthy. She's very good about her special food, and it helps her feel her best. Like any calico, Sardine has a few opinions of her own. Despite her name, she has absolutely no interest in fish. Roasted chicken, however, is another story entirely—she comes running the moment she realizes one is being prepared. Freeze-dried chicken liver treats are also high on her list of favorites. Sardine is looking for a quiet adult-only home where she can be the center of attention. She would do best as your one and only pet, where she can settle in, feel secure, and enjoy all the love and playtime she deserves.
