About

Hi! I'm Peaches! I'm a 5 year old Rottweiler mix—but don't let that fool you! My foster mum says I'm the sweetest, gentlest dog she's ever met, and I work very hard to live up to that reputation. I'm a well-mannered girl, if I do say so myself. I sit when I'm asked, come when I'm called, and I walk beautifully on my leash. I enjoy two 30-minute walks every day, and I'm always happy to stroll along by your side, taking in all the sights and smells without any fuss. One thing my foster family really loves about me is how calm I am. I'm not much of a barker, and when other dogs bark at me, I usually don't think it's worth responding. I'd much rather just carry on with my walk or keep relaxing. Life is too short to worry about all that noise! When I'm not out for a walk, you'll usually find me doing one of my favourite things: cuddling with my foster mum and dad. I'm a bit of a snuggle expert! At bedtime, I happily sleep in my own bed in their bedroom. Although... I do have a tiny morning tradition. Once I hear Mum and Dad starting to wake up, I might quietly sneak onto their bed for a few extra morning cuddles. I think it's the perfect way to start the day! I've also been living my healthiest life. Since coming into foster care, I've lost 11 pounds (down from 67 lbs to 56 lbs)! My foster mum says I have another few to go and then I'll have my summer bikini body! Personally, I think I'm beautiful at any size, but I do enjoy feeling fit and energetic on my walks. I'm completely house-trained, too—zero accidents since I arrived in my foster home. I'm also spayed and fully vaccinated. I ride really well in the car, too! I settle in nicely and enjoy coming along for adventures. The only thing is my tummy can get a little queasy on longer rides so best to avoid food before jumping into the car. One of my very favourite things is making dog friends. I've met and shared my home with lots of different dogs, and I've loved every single one of them. If you already have a canine companion, I'd be thrilled to have a buddy to hang out with. I haven't had the chance to meet any children in my foster home, but my foster mum thinks I'd do well with kids 10 years and older who understand how to be gentle and respectful with dogs. Since I'm such a calm, sweet girl, she thinks we'd make great friends. When it comes to food, I eat my meals well, but I'm definitely not food obsessed. Sometimes I'll happily accept a treat, and other times I'll give it a polite sniff and decide, "No thank you." I like to keep everyone guessing! Now, every good biography should include one little confession... My only real vice is eating grass. I know, I know—it's a strange hobby! My foster mum says we're working on it, and I promise I'm trying to break the habit. On the bright side, there are far worse bad habits a girl could have! If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate, well-behaved best friend who loves walks, adores other dogs, enjoys cozy cuddles, and will make you smile every single day, I think we might be the perfect match. Due to time constraints, we cannot respond to every email asking for more information on a dog.
