His previous owner loved him dearly and took great care of him but unfortunately had to take a second job and Chop was not getting the time he needed. Because of this he is not completely house broken but a bit of time and consistency he will get there! He is a super sweet guy! Chop is up-to-date on all of his shots and neutered. He is microchipped and on HW and flea and tick prevention! He will need a home with a fenced in backyard and would probably do better with another young energetic dog to help show him the ropes! He is good around other dogs, not cat tested, and like most dogs he does have a fear of loud noises like fireworks! He loves people and will make a great addition to your family! If you are interested in chop or any of our other dogs please follow the adoption process below. He is currently in Columbus and will be ready for adoption Tue July 14. Adoption Process: To meet one our dogs you must first fill out our application on our website ohiobassetrescue.com. Once submitted one of our volunteers will reach out to you. Upon approval you will be given an approval code to email us at ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com. Approvals are good for 6 months for any current or future dogs. After 6 months you will be directed to fill out an updated application. Please note we only process applications where the adopter lives in OH, IN, KY, PA, WV, lower MI. Adopters must be willing to travel to meet the dog they are adopting. Dogs locations are listed on their profile description on our website. Dogs are NOT all located in Brookville, that is our mailing address. Please understand we are all volunteers and will respond as soon as we can as we all have jobs and family obligations.
