This sweet little boy named Mars is mostly white with some gray coloring and is about 6 months old. He is looking for a calm, patient person who can give him the stable home he needs. When he first meets new people, he can be very scared. He may hiss, which can make people think he's unfriendly, but the hiss is really just his way of saying he's frightened. If you give him time and don't push him, that hiss quickly turns into a tiny meow. Once he realizes you're not going to hurt him, his true personality comes out. He loves being petted, will roll onto his side for belly rubs, and happily curls up in your lap. He wants a person he can trust and will quickly bond with someone who makes him feel safe. He has not done well in a cat café environment where there are lots of people, noises, and changes. He would do much better in a quiet, stable home with one-on-one attention and a predictable routine. This kitten is not the type who will win people over in five minutes. He needs someone willing to give him a chance. In return, you'll gain a loyal, loving companion who just wants to feel protected and secure. If you're experienced with shy cats or have the patience to let a kitten come out of his shell at his own pace, he may be the perfect match for you. The adoption fee covers the spay/neuter surgery, a 1-year rabies shot, an fvrcp shot (feline distemper/upper respiratory vaccine), test for feline aids and leukemia, deworming, and microchip. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. Phone: 770-214-3590.
