Meet Ziggy - Ziggy is a 9 month Boston Terrier/Chi mix weighing about 15-18 pounds who came to rescue from rural Kentucky, where she arrived covered in fleas and in need of a little TLC. Now she's ready to leave her past behind and find a family to call her own. This sweet little girl has a gently, lovering personality and quickly forms a bond with her people. She loves to snuggle, gives the sweetest little kisses, and is the happiest curled up next to you on the couch. Don't be surprised if you find her propped up with her head on a pillow, ready for a cozy nap! She also loves belly rubs and will happily soak up all the affection your're willing to give. like many dogs starting a brand-new chapter, Ziggy is still building confidence. She looks to her person for reassurance and blossoms when she knows she's safe. Ziggy walks well on a a leash, though she's still gaining confidence and sometimes looks to her person for a little guidance along the way. She's still working on potty training. Ziggy does well in her crate while her foster mom is away and overnight, and she'll need a family willing to continue helping her learn a consistent routine. Like many dogs adjusting to a new environment, patience and consistency will go a long way. Ziggy came into rescue with her sister, so she's familiar with other dogs. She has met her foster's resident dog and, after a little time to settle in, mostly does her own thing. She's a bit unsure during initial introductions, so slow, thoughtful introductions to new dogs will her feel comfortable. If you're looking for a loyal companion who wants nothing more than a warm lap, gentle cuddles, and a family to help her conitnue building confidence, Ziggy may be your perfect match.
