Left behind by her former family, Carrie is ready for a FRESH start and a happy ending! We are working to learn all we can about her to help find the best home for this sweet girl! We have found that although she is nervous being here, she does love a good belly rub session! Getting her out of the kennel is almost like a game to her, jumping around to make you work for that walk! Since she came to us, she met Kodiak a neutered male, who is similar in size to her. While he sniffed her all over, she was so focused on what the humans were doing around her, did she even know he was there? So, we tried spayed female friend who is smaller than her, to see if we could peak her interest. She gave her new friend a few sniffs and then went on about her day. So, it was back to Kodiak. This sweet girl still wasn't that interested in her new friend, but she did great and was more curious about her surroundings, giving it all the sniffs! We always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for all. We don't know how she does with cats and have no way to test for that. If you can provide the perfect home for this sweet girl, please come and meet her in person at 430 Bristol Drive in Statesville, NC. We are a first come, first served and in person adoption center. Adoption Hours: • Mon–Fri: 12–5pm • Sat: 11am–2pm Please bring a collar and leash OR purchase a combo from us for only $15 to safely take your new family member home safely. All adoptable dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Adopters must establish vet care upon adoption.
