Meet Newt Newt is a one-year-old LOVE BUG whose life was nearly cut short before it truly began. He was rescued from a shelter where his future was uncertain, and even the shelter staff couldn't stop talking about what a wonderfully loving boy he is and how much he deserved a second chance. Thankfully, Fancy Cats Rescue Team answered that call, and now Newt is searching for the forever family he's been waiting for. From the moment you meet Newt, it's impossible not to fall in love. This handsome little guy is a bit scruffy around the edges right now, and he's receiving a little extra TLC—including some eye ointment—to help him look and feel his very best. Underneath that adorably tousled coat is an incredibly sweet, affectionate boy whose loving personality shines far brighter than his scruffy appearance. Newt is an expert biscuit maker, happily kneading away while purring almost nonstop. He absolutely loves being held, soaking up affection, and snuggling close to his favorite people. If you're looking for a true lap cat, Newt is ready to claim that spot in your heart—and on your lap! Newt is playful, social, and full of sweetness. He enjoys interactive toys, especially automated toys that keep him entertained, and he loves spending time playing with his people. After a fun play session, he's perfectly content curling up beside you for cuddles and a well-earned nap. This sweet boy has a gentle, medium-energy personality. He's not a wild party cat—instead, he prefers being wherever you are. Don't be surprised if Newt becomes your little shadow, following you from room to room just to be close. His greatest joy is simply sharing life with the people he loves. Newt does well with other cats and would truly enjoy having a feline sibling to play with and keep him company. With slow, proper introductions, he would also likely do well with a gentle, cat-friendly dog. It's hard to imagine how someone could have abandoned such an affectionate, trusting soul, but their loss will become someone else's greatest blessing. Newt has an endless supply of love to give and is simply waiting for a family to share it with. As his little scruffy face heals and his coat continues to flourish with love and care, his wonderful personality is already impossible to resist.
