Hannah was rescued from Atascosa Animal Control, where she was on the euthanasia list and clear that she has had a very hard life. She is now looking for a patient, understanding home. She is shy and unsure with new people and will need a little extra time to feel safe, but every day she grows more confident with the help of our staff and volunteers. Once Hannah trusts you, she loves staying by your side for gentle pets and will reward you with sweet tail wags and quiet companionship. Hannah is a gentle, submissive, low-key girl who gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She's happiest in a calm environment where she can relax and enjoy the simple things. If you're looking for a quiet companion and are willing to let her settle in at her own pace, Hannah will be a wonderful addition to your family. Hannah is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccines, 4DX tested, and protected with ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. She did test positive for Ehrlichia and Anaplasmosis, both tick-borne diseases. There is no way to know when she was bitten by an infected tick, but the good news is that she is healthy and finishing her course of antibiotics. Hannah is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. Due to state regulations, we are unable to transport dogs to Rhode Island or Massachusetts.
