Meet River & Flora These two beautiful girls have already survived so much together. River and Flora were found trapped in the LA River channel for over 48 hours, struggling just to stay on their feet. By the time they were finally rescued, they were exhausted and could barely walk. Long Beach Animal Shelter stepped up for these sweet girls, and AZ Mastiff Rescue went to bring them to safety. Their cherry eye surgeries are now done, and River and Flora are ready for their forever home. These girls are truly bonded — they eat together, sleep together, play together, and love each other so much. They are like two peas in a pod. Flora is about 5–6 years old, and River is about 1–2 years old. They are house trained, have nice house manners, are dog friendly, and are quiet, calm, mellow couch potatoes. They are easy girls who just want a soft place to land and a family to love them. We would love to find a home open to keeping both girls together. AZ Mastiff Rescue will do a 2-for-1 adoption for the right family willing to give these bonded girls the home they deserve.
