Sandy is a precious 1-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix weighing just 10 pounds. She was found as a stray in a rural area alongside two of her friends. Based on their condition and circumstances, we suspect they may have been used for breeding. Thankfully, those days are behind her, and Sandy is now safe, loved, and ready to find the forever family she deserves. Sandy is the definition of a little cuddle bug. Her foster mom describes her as the sweetest snuggle buddy who loves nothing more than curling up beside her favorite people. While she was understandably timid and frightened when she was first rescued, she has blossomed in foster care and is learning that people can be kind. She may need a little time to warm up to new people, but once she trusts you, you’ll have a loyal companion for life. She absolutely loves attention, belly rubs, and spending time with her people. Sandy also enjoys little humans and has done wonderfully with children, making her a lovely addition to a family looking for a gentle, affectionate pup. Sandy is both crate trained and potty trained, making the transition into her forever home even easier. She’s a quiet, loving little girl who simply wants a family to call her own and a lap to snuggle in. After everything she’s been through, Sandy deserves a lifetime of love, comfort, and security.
