Meet 3 year old, 35 pound Ginny – the happiest little shadow you’ll ever have! If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh every single day, keep you active, and then happily curl up in your lap for hours, Ginny may be your perfect match. Ginny is a bright, athletic girl with a zest for life. She bounds around like a gazelle, believes squirrels were put on Earth to chase, and never says no to a game of fetch—especially if it involves her beloved Chuck-It ball (which doubles as her emotional support toy). Once she’s gotten her energy out, she’s all about snuggling up for a deep nap right next to her favorite people. She’s incredibly affectionate and has absolutely no concept of personal space—which, in her mind, is a feature, not a bug! Whether you’re on the couch, in bed, or even in the bathroom, Ginny is there to make sure you’re doing okay. She’ll happily volunteer as your lap dog, shoulder dog, neck dog, or face dog. Ginny is smart as a whip and eager to please, making her a joy to train. She’s treat motivated, already knows her basic commands, is recently house-trained, crate trained, and continues to impress everyone with how quickly she learns. She’s also working hard on her leash manners. Her excitement can get the best of her, so she currently pulls on walks, but she’s improving every day. If you’ve been looking for a jogging partner, Ginny is ready to sign up! She absolutely loves people and has been wonderfully gentle with children who ask to pet her. She’s also dog-friendly and has formed a beautiful bond with her foster brother. Watching them play together, cuddle, and help each other build confidence has been one of the greatest joys of fostering her. Ginny came into foster care a little unsure of the world, but with love and consistency she has blossomed into a confident, goofy, happy girl who embraces every new adventure. Her mild anxiety continues to improve as she settles in and realizes she’s safe. Ginny hasn’t been tested with cats and does have a strong prey drive, so squirrels and other small critters remain her favorite things to chase. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will keep you smiling, entertain you with her silly antics, and love you with her whole heart, Ginny is ready to meet you.
