About

Hello! I was transferred to OCAS from another shelter. I was a bit nervous at first, but I warmed up quickly, especially with treats. I was a very good girl for all medical handling and I'm excited to find my forever home. Insights from my adventure buddies and foster friends: `Rosey was such a sweetie!! She loves to get cuddles and scritches and reciprocate with LOTS of licks, i think she would crawl into my skin if she could! She was friendly and excited to meet my roommates as well as strangers on walks and at a brewery (no jumping either!). She was very gentle and friendly with a kid too. She responds well to praise, and after getting all her initial energy out walks nicely too—even when excited she didn't pull too much, and if you called her name and knelt down to her level she would let other dogs/cyclists/runners pass her and keep going with no problem. She does go after a squirrel/bird if she sees on the leash, but is easily redirected. She didn't respond to commands but is quite receptive to her name, so from my few hours it seems like training her wouldn't be a problem. No peeing or pooping inside. She did get anxious when we had to go into the car, but settled down when inside and responded well to praise and treats. My roommate played with her in the yard and when running she did get mouthy with ankles, but stopped when they calmed down (so she can still use some training, but she seems like a fast learner). She snores!! Another cute thing is she loves to be up high — she spent lots of time sitting at the top of the stairs to enter my house and stood at the top of the picnic table at the brewery we went to.`
