About

Meet Hokey Pokey Smokey Smokey is a beautiful 1‑year‑old grey and white Domestic Short Hair with a heart as soft as her fur. She came to us after experiencing complications during labor. We made sure she received the vet care she needed and stayed by her side through her delivery. Sadly, none of her kittens survived, and Smokey had to navigate a heartbreaking and traumatic time. With patience, rest, and lots of gentle care, Smokey has healed—both physically and emotionally. Now she’s ready to begin her next chapter. Smokey has previously lived with kids, cats, and dogs, and she’s done wonderfully with all of them. Her gentle, affectionate nature shines through in every interaction. When you meet her, don’t be surprised if she immediately leans in for pets and cuddles. She may have an adult look and has already faced adult-sized challenges, but she’s still very much a young girl at heart—sweet, resilient, and eager for a family who will give her the world. Smokey is ready to love and be loved. Could her next adventure be with you? Hokey Pokey Smokey's adoption fee is $75, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1 Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! We welcome adopters from out of state to apply! _ When it comes to our pets, we're all-inclusive!
