Joseph (aka Bean) is a happy boy who is looking for a home! He's currently with our rescue partners in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon with a foster or adopter. Joseph (aka Bean!) is pure, goofy, chaotic LOVE wrapped up in one very handsome pup. He is hands-down the quirkiest, weirdest, most hilarious dog we’ve ever met. The kind of dog who will make you laugh every single day… and then immediately melt into you like he’s trying to become one with your soul. Honestly, if Bean could crawl into your skin and live there, he probably would. Bean was once scheduled to be euthanized simply due to lack of space. Since coming into his foster home, he has completely blossomed. All he needed was a chance — and now he’s ready for his forever one. The important stuff: • Potty trained — no more marking. Accidents are rare and only happen if he truly can’t hold it. He sleeps through the night just fine after a last call potty break. • Crate trained — he may need a little coaxing to go in, but only because he loves you and would prefer you never leave. • Not destructive — hasn’t torn up a single thing in his foster home. • Affection-obsessed — his favorite place is as close to you as physically possible. • Kid-friendly — he LOVES kids, but doesn’t quite understand his size and may overwhelm little ones with enthusiastic kisses. • Dog-friendly — would truly thrive with a playful dog sibling. • Cat curious — he just wants to be best friends immediately (the cats may need a minute to agree). • Needs a fenced-in yard — this boy has zoomies to unleash and joy to burn. Bean’s dream home includes a playful canine buddy, a secure yard, and humans who are ready for a dog that loves BIG, often, and with his whole entire heart. He is loyal. He is hilarious. He is endlessly affectionate. And yes… he absolutely knows he’s handsome. Joseph is fixed, microchipped and up to date on rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. He tested negative for heartworm and his adoption donation is $500 . Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
