Meet Nova! Nova is a beautiful 10-month-old rat terrier weighing about 14 lbs. She has a sweet, gentle heart and is just waiting for the right family to help her blossom into the amazing companion she's meant to be. Nova can be timid in new situations, but with patience, kindness, and encouragement, her confidence grows every day. She's looking for an adopter without young children who understands that building trust takes time and is willing to continue her training using positive reinforcement. The reward will be a loyal, loving little dog who will be devoted to her family. Nova absolutely loves other dogs! She gets along wonderfully with canine companions and would thrive in a home with a playful dog close to her size and age—or even an older dog that still enjoys a good game of chase. Having a confident canine friend will help Nova continue learning that the world is a fun and safe place. Nova is already about 90% house-trained. She knows to go to the door when she needs to go outside, and because she's incredibly smart, we're confident she could easily learn to use a doggy door with just a little guidance. Nova is young, eager to learn, and has so much love to give. She's looking for a local family that can meet her before adoption and recognize the incredible rattie waiting to shine.
