This adorable 1-2 year old, 10-pound Shih Tzu is the definition of an easy companion and has quickly become a foster family favorite. Daily Life with Puppet Puppet settles beautifully into a household routine and is happy to follow along with whatever the day brings. Her mornings begin between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. with a quick potty break, followed by breakfast and a walk. During the day, she's content to lounge wherever her people happen to be—on a cozy dog bed, relaxing around the house, or quietly snoozing next to a desk while someone works. She enjoys a leisurely afternoon walk around 2:00-3:00 p.m., dinner at 5:00 p.m., and one final evening stroll before winding down for the night. Puppet isn't demanding or high-energy; she's simply happy to be part of the household and enjoy the comforts of home. A Perfect Balance of Affection and Independence Puppet truly offers the best of both worlds. She enjoys being close to her people and will often follow them from room to room, quietly keeping an eye on things. If a door closes, she'll patiently wait outside without fussing or barking. While she isn't the type to constantly demand cuddles, she absolutely loves being held and doted on like the little princess she is. She's affectionate without being clingy and enjoys companionship without requiring constant attention. One of Puppet's most impressive qualities is her confidence and independence. She has shown no signs of separation anxiety and handles alone time beautifully. As she's settled into her foster home, she's become even more comfortable and secure, showing that she can happily entertain herself when needed. A Calm and Easy Housemate Puppet is a laid-back girl who would much rather relax than wrestle. She has shown little interest in toys or play sessions and is perfectly content spending her day lounging nearby. If you're looking for a jogging partner, Puppet may politely decline. If you're looking for a sweet companion to keep you company while you relax, she's ready to apply immediately. She's also wonderfully house trained and has not had a single accident in her foster home. Puppet seems to prefer doing her business during walks and has been incredibly reliable with her potty habits. Excellent Leash Manners Walking Puppet is a pleasure. She walks beautifully on leash, responds well to direction, and doesn't pull. She may occasionally show interest in birds or squirrels, but she's easy to redirect and quickly refocuses. Puppet does have one area where she could use a little continued guidance: she can be reactive toward unfamiliar dogs, particularly larger ones. She may bark or growl when she sees them on walks. However, she coexists nicely with her foster family's resident dog and is generally comfortable around dogs her own size. The Little Things We Love Puppet is generally a quiet dog who rarely barks. Most of the time, she'll only chime in when she hears the garage or front door open—or when the resident dog decides something is worth announcing. And while she may look like a tiny, fluffy lap dog, don't let her fool you. Puppet possesses surprisingly impressive athletic abilities and has been known to launch herself over playpens and barriers that seemed impossible for a 10-pound dog to conquer. She's a petite pup with hidden superpowers! Her foster family's favorite quirk is the adorable way she stretches while walking, kicking one leg behind her as she slowly moves around the house. It's impossible not to smile when you see it. Puppet's Ideal Home The wonderful thing about Puppet is that she fits into just about any lifestyle. She enjoys companionship but doesn't require constant attention, making her an incredibly adaptable little dog. Whoever adopts Puppet won't just be getting a dog—they'll be getting one of those rare, easy companions who seamlessly becomes part of the family from day one. Sweet, well-mannered, house trained, and endlessly lovable, Puppet is ready to bring joy, comfort, and plenty of smiles to her forever home.
