About

This pup will be available to meet starting on 6/27 Ricky came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation where he lived with more than 20 other dogs inside a camper. Despite his rough start, he hasn't let the past steal his joy. In fact, Ricky absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with canine companions. Having dog friends around helps bring out his playful, happy personality, and one of his favorite things in the world is romping around with his buddies. He's the perfect blend of playful and laid-back. Ricky enjoys splashing in the pool, playing with toys, and having fun with his dog friends, but he's equally happy lounging in the shade and soaking up the good life. He's good in his kennel, has no issues around treats, and is learning his leash manners more every day. Ricky's dream home would include a yard where he can stretch his legs, splash in a kiddie pool, chase his dog friends, and then crash on a comfy dog bed afterward. After spending the beginning of his life in overcrowded conditions, he's ready to discover what it means to be someone's cherished companion. This lovable boy has spent enough time simply getting by. Now it's his turn to be spoiled, loved, and treated like family. They were rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
