Hi! My name is Marcel and I am looking for a forever home. I was picked up by animal control and taken to a super scary place called a shelter where, after my hold time was up, I was in danger of being placed on something bad called "the list". A small local rescue saw me and reached out to BCAA to see if they could take me in and help me and they said yes! I am a little shy and skittish when I first meet new people and going into new environments but it doesn't take me long to learn I can trust you and then my foster mom says I'm super sweet. She also says I'm super handsome but her best guess as to my breed mix is a yorkie mixed with something. I was a little bit of a mess when I first came from the shelter but foster mom brushed me out and then gave me a bath, and now she says I smell good and I'm really a handsome little dude! I appear to be around 1-2yo and weigh approximately 10-12lbs. I have gotten along with all of the other small dogs I have met but it doesn't appear that I'm going to be good in a home with small critters as I appear to have something my foster mom says is a prey drive, so a home without any other small creatures will be best (no cats, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs ... you get the picture!). I have done well in my crate so far without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding; however, I would prefer to be out with you. I am not real good on leash so a secured fenced yard will be needed in order for me to take care of my business.
