Griffin is an adorable, playful 2-year-old boy who is looking for a loving, cat-savvy home. He had a very rough start in his young life. When Griffin came to the Shelter, he had many small wounds around his neck and head. At first, he was fearful and shying away, but he warmed up soon towards his caretakers. The people who surrendered him indicated that he was abused as a kitten in his previous home. Griffin has a social and cheerful personality, but at times he still reacts out of fear. He likes to lie on one's chest and be petted, but he fears hands when he sees them close by. With patience and skillful handling he will be able to overcome his traumatic experiences and eventually trust fully. Since Griffin is afraid of other cats, he is having a hard time at the Shelter, watching kitties outside his room every day. He is also very sad to be confined, although he has a large room on his own. Griffin needs to be an only pet, and he would be so happy to have a spacious indoor home, where he can explore, feel safe, and loved. Griffin is a great little guy and just needs a chance to become the joyous, affectionate companion cat that he truly is. You can visit Griffin at the Shelter during open hours on Saturdays from noon-3pm, or ask for a private visiting time after submitting an application. Please note that Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a "same day" adoption shelter. Please visit our website at http://www.kingdomanimalshelter.com/adopt-a-cat.html to learn about our adoption process.
