From his foster: From Wal-Mart Parking Lot to Wonderful Kitten — Meet Marty! Little Marty got his name from the place where his story began: the parking lot of a local Wal-Mart. A kind-hearted Good Samaritan spotted this beautiful 3 month old gray tabby longhaired kitten all alone outside the store. Although she would have loved to keep him herself, she knew she couldn't provide the long-term home he deserved. Instead, she reached out to Piedmont Animal Rescue for help and even made a generous donation toward his veterinary care to give him the best possible start. When Marty first arrived at his foster home, he was a lonely little guy. Without siblings or kitten friends, he seemed sad and withdrawn. Everything changed when he was introduced to another litter of kittens. Marty blossomed almost immediately, revealing the playful, affectionate, happy kitten he was meant to be. Today, Marty is thriving! He absolutely loves other kittens and would do best in a home with another young feline companion to wrestle, play, cuddle, and grow up with. A lonely life simply isn't for this social little boy. Marty has been fully vetted and is ready for his forever family. He has been: • Neutered • Fully vaccinated • Tested negative for FeLV and FIV • Treated for fleas and other parasites So many caring people have stepped in to help Marty along his journey—from the Good Samaritan who rescued him to the volunteers who cared for him.
