Penny is a senior beagle who came to OBHR from a local shelter who was seeking a rescue because Penny was thought to be pregnant! Ultrasound and X-rays confirmed great news! Penny is not pregnant! She does however have an old lady pooch of a belly and she has obviously had pups in the past! She is scheduled for a spay on June 25 and will be ready for a new home soon after! She is otherwise in great health and a very happy girl who loves to play and snuggle! She sleeps through the night ok and has done fine in her crate. She has not had an accident in her foster home so appears to be house trained. Penny is guessed to be around 10 years old but still has plenty of play in her! She is being fostered in Columbus. Adoption Process: To meet one our dogs you must first fill out our application on our website ohiobassetrescue.com. Once submitted one of our volunteers will reach out to you. Upon approval you will be given an approval code to email us at ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com. Approvals are good for 6 months for any current or future dogs. After 6 months you will be directed to fill out an updated application. Please note we only process applications where the adopter lives in OH, IN, KY, PA, WV, lower MI. Adopters must be willing to travel to meet the dog they are adopting. Dogs locations are listed on their profile description on our website. Dogs are NOT all located in Brookville, that is our mailing address. Please understand we are all volunteers and will respond as soon as we can as we all have jobs and family obligations.
