Zucchini is one of four puppies who were transferred to MCHS from one of our rescue friends after losing their foster home. They were born on April 26th, and Zucchini, like his siblings, appears to be a mix of maybe lab, husky, and shepherd. He should be ready for adoption in late June to early July. His adoption fee of $150 will cover all of his basic vet work - distemper/parvo vaccinations, microchip, rabies vaccination (when old enough), and neuter surgery (when old enough). This will be coordinated by us with her adopter. Zucchini will require a lot of basic training in all areas. He is a puppy and needs a home committed to his needs and one in which she won't be left alone for long hours. We do expect him to be a larger dog at maturity. He should be okay with older kids, other dogs, and is young enough to learn to interact with cats. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
