About

The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org Pistol Annie is a 3-month-old black and tan wirehaired Miniature Dachshund with the spunkiest personality. She really is a pistol! She came from a home without many visitors. She is learning now that with people come lots of love and attention. She can be shy at first and would do best with a confident canine sibling. She is playful and enjoys chasing and squeaking his collection of squeaky toys, but most of all love to wrestle with her foster siblings. Like many Dachshunds, she is still working on house training, so her new family should be prepared to continue helping her learn and stay consistent with her routine. She's making progress, using a doggie door, but it's definitely still a work in progress. Annie would thrive in a home with another playful, confident dog around her size who can be her buddy and help burn off some puppy energy. Because she's small and still learning the ropes, a home without young children would be the best fit. Annie is not yet spayed, she is too small. A spay deposit will be required with her adoption. Once she is old enough and big enough, adopters may use their own veterinarian and receive the deposit back upon providing proof of spay, or they may choose our veterinarian and have the deposit applied toward the cost of the procedure. Highlights: 3-month-old wirehaired Miniature Dachshund Shy Playful, loves squeaky toys and loves to wrestle Would love a canine playmate her size Working on house training Best suited for a home without small children Spay deposit required Annie‘s adoption fee: $1000 plus a $300 neuter deposit We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found. Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. At that time we will bring the dog to the home in which you will all be sharing. We ask the entire family to be there that day. If we all agree on the placement, then the dog will stay with you that day. Please visit our website at www.dachshundpaws.org
