Hi everyone, my name is Peanut ! I'm a 4 year old, spayed Pug. I'm a 15-pound “best of both worlds” pup and a perfect starter dog: sweet, quiet, food motivated, good on leash, good with other dogs, and happiest just being near my people. I'm an outdoor adventurer who loves a good sniffari, but indoors I has two modes: snuggly and super-snuggly. I'm easygoing in the car and ride nicely in the backseat. I recently learned to climb up and down stairs like a champ, tolerate baths, and I'm a devoted cheese lover. I have done well with both big and small dogs and I'm not bothered by a loud vacuum. If I sound like the pup you've been looking for, come down to the shelter and meet me! I'd like the meet the entire household, including any resident dogs, prior to officially joining the family. You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available . It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around! Emails will be returned as soon as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours during busy adoption periods like weekends.
