Meet Oscar! Oscar is a 4-week-old male kitten who was brought to Rockwall Adoptions after being picked up by Animal Control at the Love's TA Truck Stop on 06/19/26. Despite having a rough start, Oscar is receiving the care he needs and is already showing his resilient spirit. Oscar is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection and is under close veterinary care. He also arrived with an injury to one of his feet, which will be evaluated by our veterinarian during his scheduled appointment on Wednesday. At that time, he will receive a full physical examination so we can better understand his medical needs and ensure he is on the road to recovery. Oscar will be available for pre-adoption beginning July 5, 2026, when he reaches 6 weeks of age. He will be eligible to go home with his adoptive family on July 10, 2026, at 7 weeks old, provided he continues to progress as expected. Oscar's adoption fee is $75 and includes his neuter surgery, microchip, first FVRCP vaccination, and deworming. As part of his adoption agreement, Oscar is scheduled to return to Rockwall Adoptions for his mandatory neuter appointment on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. This appointment is non-negotiable and is required to finalize his adoption. An approved online adoption application is required prior to scheduling a meet and greet or moving forward with adoption. If you are interested in giving Oscar the loving forever home he deserves, please submit an adoption application here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ We look forward to helping Oscar find a family of his own! All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
