HI! My name is Daisy Mae and I am looking for a forever home. Me and my friend Rusty were taken to a really scary place called a shelter by our owner after she was told she had too many dogs for her apartment and we drew the short straws. A volunteer saw us when we first came in and immediately contacted her friend with BCAA to see if they could help both of us as we were petrified in that place. While Rusty and I get along really well, we are not bonded and are not looking to be adopted together. My foster mom was told I was a yorkie mix and the vet says I appear to be about 18 months old, so with my current size of just a tad over 6lbs, I shouldn't get much bigger. My foster mom says I'm as cute as a button with a sweet presonality to match. I am a little shy when I first meet new people and going into new settings, but give me a little time and some TLC and I will quickly learn I can trust you. I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met (most all of who are bigger than me) and I don't bother those things called cats, all of who are much bigger than me. I have done well in my crate without any barking or tearing up of my bedding, and after I learned the schedule here and have been taken out regularly, I haven't had any accidents in my crate. I don't appear to ever have had a leash on before and am not any good on one so I will need a secured fenced yard in order to take care of my business and explore; however, I am so small I'm real easy to carry around which I love.
