Meet Cody — our adorable lowrider with a long body, short legs, and a huge personality. Cody is 2–3 years old and around 25 lbs, with that classic lowslung, longbacked build that makes him extra cute and instantly lovable. He’s expressive, peopleoriented, has a calm personality, and is happiest when he’s right next to his person. Cody’s story: Cody was found as a stray and ended up at the shelter, where he spent most of his early life in a kennel. Despite that rough start, he is incredibly loving, social, and eager to bond with his person. He just wants to feel safe, included, and close to someone who cares about him. Because of his kennel background, crating is not allowed for him. If he needs to be safely contained when you leave, a baby gate in a doorway works perfectly. Cody’s personality: Cody is deeply affectionate and loves to sit on your lap, lean into you, and be your little shadow. He’s friendly with other dogs, but he is possessive of his person — he does not like to share his human’s lap or attention. For this reason, Cody would be happiest as an only dog where he can soak up all the love. If you do have another dog, just know Cody will naturally take the alpha role in the home. He’s not aggressive — he simply has a confident, “this is my person” personality. House habits: Cody is smart and observant. He uses a pet door to go outside and do his business and has done very well with this routine. If you don’t have a pet door, he should be able to potty train easily with a consistent schedule. He enjoys exploring the yard, following you around, and settling in. Adoption Criteria: • Fully fencedin yard (no invisible fences) • Preferably no other dogs — Cody wants to be the center of your world • Children 7 years of age or older • Someone home more during the day — he thrives on companionship and routine • No crating — use a baby gate if he needs to be safely contained Cody is ready for a home where he can finally have what he’s always wanted: his very own person to love, protect, and stay close to. He will make a devoted, affectionate companion for someone who wants a dog with heart, personality, and endless love to give. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $295
