Meet Shawnee -- the irresistibly adventurous tabby boy! Though he may be small in size, Shawnee has a huge appetite—for food, affection, playtime and life itself. In fact, if he suspects dinner is on the way, be prepared: This clever little guy has perfected the art of appearing directly under your feet in hopes of speeding up mealtime. Consider it one of his many endearing quirks. Shawnee wants to be part of everything. He adores being brushed, held, petted and having his head and belly rubbed. While he's not quite a lap cat (yet), that's only because he's currently too busy being an energetic young adventurer. His foster is convinced that as he matures, cuddles will become one of his favorite pastimes. Playtime is serious business for Shawnee. Wand toys? Balls? Crinkly toys? Yes, please! This curious boy loves them all and will happily play until he's completely worn out and ready for a well-earned nap. After a snooze, look for him to be happily back in action, working out on his cat wheel treadmill. Shawnee has been been very comfortable around other cats. He seems believes that life is more fun with friends—as long as he still gets his fair share of attention. What's his perfect household? He could thrive as an only cat soaking up all the love, or with a feline friend who can match his energy. Though he hasn't met dogs yet, his outgoing nature suggests he would adapt with a slow introduction. Shawnee would also do best with older children who know how to interact gently and respectfully with cats. Though he's endlessly entertaining, with movie-star good looks and enough personality to fill a room, Shawnee also has a soulful side, that you'll discover when you look into his gorgeous amber eyes.
