About

Honey's story is one of resilience, strength, and second chances. At just 5 months old, this sweet puppy was found wandering the streets of Detroit, alone and unsure of what her future would hold. Shortly after being rescued,Honey faced another heartbreaking challenge — she became very ill and was diagnosed with Parvovirus, a serious illness that can often be fatal in young puppies. But Honey showed everyone just how strong she is. With her fighting spirit and the dedication of an amazing veterinary team,Honey pulled through and beat the odds. Today, she is happy, healthy, playful, and ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family who will love her forever.Honey is still a young pup who is learning about the world, so her new family will need to continue helping her grow into the amazing dog she is meant to be. She will benefit from training to learn her basic commands and house manners, along with plenty of patience, encouragement, and positive reinforcement.Because of her history, Honey will need to be the only dog in the home, or she may do well with a healthy, vaccinated dog who is up to date on all vaccines. Slow and proper introductions will be important if there are cats in the home.Honey is a playful puppy who will love having lots of toys to keep her busy, especially fun chew toys to help with those puppy habits. A home with children 8 years old and older is recommended. After everything Honey has been through, she deserves a family who will show her that she is safe, loved, and finally home. Could you be the person who gives this brave little survivor the happily ever after she's been waiting for?
