Meet Copper – One Eye, All Heart Copper is one of Saffron's siblings, whose finder's dog discovered them in a nearby field. All seemed to be suffering from a URI, and since arriving to us, they have all received treatment for and recovered from that nasty kitty cold. Copper was also found to be missing the globe of his left eye, and it was determined that the best plan of care for him to live a happy and healthy life was to perform an enucleation. Our shelter vet and medical team performed this surgery and while he is still getting used to the slight adjustment, he is doing even better now that the pesky post-surgical cone is no longer an everyday staple in his life. He is well on his way, as if he had always only had the one eye. This super sweet and resilient 4-month-old cutie is now ready to find his forever home, as the doctor has cleared him to be made available for his family to come and sweep him off his feet — or the other way around — as soon as they see him. If you are able to provide a forever home filled with love to care for him the rest of his days, he would love to meet you. Copper's fee is 65. All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Adopters should establish vet care after adoption to maintain their pet's health.
