From Teen Mom to Beloved Lap Cat: Meet Mocha! Mocha’s story started a bit upside down. At just 8 months old, she was already a mom to 4 kittens! Because she had to grow up so fast, she missed out on a normal kittenhood—when she first arrived in foster care, she didn’t even know what toys were and was actually afraid of them. But watching her own kittens play taught her how to be a kid again. Mocha has completely blossomed into a confident, playful, and incredibly affectionate kitty! She loves to climb right up onto your shoulders and will happily claim your lap as her personal throne, purring up a storm. Because of her rough start, Mocha still carries a tiny bit of "spice." Occasionally, without warning, she might hiss, swat, or give a quick bite when she feels overwhelmed, but she immediately reverts right back to her sweet, purring self. We truly believe that once she feels 100% secure in a forever home of her own, this behavior will fade.
