Meet Mabel — the sweetest little shadow you’ll ever have. Mabel is a 35‑lb, 7‑year‑old gentle soul who wants nothing more than to be close to her person. She’s calm and easy to have in the house, happy to curl up beside you and soak up all the love you’re willing to give. She’s been very brave settling into her foster home. She was nervous about indoor stairs at first, but with patience and encouragement she now manages them on her own. Because she favors her back right leg, she’d do best in a home with minimal stairs and a family who enjoys short, easy walks. She loves these walks and is learning not to pull on the leash. Mabel can be a little cautious when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly and shows her soft, affectionate nature. She takes treats incredibly gently, and her foster describes her as “just wanting to be with her person and feel loved.” If you’re looking for a calm, loyal companion who will quietly adore you, Mabel is your girl. Approximate Birthdate: May 2019 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.
