Meet Buttons! If you're looking for a small dog with a big personality, Buttons is your guy. This adorable 1½-year-old Chihuahua mix weighs just 8 pounds, but he's packed with charm, affection, and plenty of playful energy. Buttons loves toys, chasing balls, and finding creative ways to entertain himself. One of his favorite activities is tossing his toys into the air and pouncing on them all by himself. He also enjoys daily walks, exploring the yard, and would make an excellent hiking or adventure companion. After a day of fun, he's more than happy to curl up on the couch and snuggle. This sweet boy is incredibly friendly and enjoys meeting new people. He recently attended a family BBQ and impressed everyone with his easygoing personality. He loves children, gets along great with other dogs, and would especially enjoy having a playful canine friend. He can be a little enthusiastic when meeting shy dogs, but his intentions are always friendly. He is also living with cats and would do best with a dog-savvy feline who doesn't mind a playful chase now and then. Buttons is crate trained, rides well in the car, and is doing wonderfully with his house training. He's a smart pup who already knows "sit" and is eager to learn more, especially when treats are involved. He can be a little awkward about being picked up and has made great progress learning to trust and feel comfortable with handling. One look into Buttons' expressive eyes and you'll understand how he got his way for most of his life. He's a master of the puppy-dog stare and has a gentle, loving nature to match. Whether he's bouncing through the grass, rolling around in the sunshine, softly taking treats from your hand, or resting his head on your lap for pets, Buttons has a way of making everyone smile. Buttons is looking for a family that will continue helping him build confidence, provide plenty of playtime and adventures, and most importantly, shower him with the love he deserves. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
