Strawberry Cheesecake was the only survivor from a backyard litter where we have spayed/neutered all the adult cats now. We merged her with her cousins (from the same backyard), Baked Alaska, Brown Betty and Rhubarb Cobbler) and she loves hanging with them. She is a bit timid and nervous about being held but give her time and start her in a small space liek a bathroom, without hiding places, while she gets to know you, and she will settle in. She would do best in a home without loud/fast dogs and young active children. Apply to adopt to be the first to schedule a meet and greet with the cat or kitten(s) of your choice or take your chances and show up at our weekly adoption event at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd, on Saturday from 12-4pm. Get $50 off the combined adoption fee when adopting a pair of kittens. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
