About

This pup will be available to meet starting on 6/20 Halo is a darling Retriever mix who looks like someone shrunk down a Golden Retriever or Lab puppy and sprinkled in an extra dose of happiness. With her bright eyes, fluffy tail, and permanent smile, she's the kind of dog who turns heads everywhere she goes. And that smile? Absolutely contagious. Halo is a happy, wiggly, bouncy little ray of sunshine who believes every person she meets might be her new best friend. She adores people and loves being close to her humans—if you're looking for a loyal sidekick who wants to follow you around and soak up affection, Halo is ready to clock in for the job. This playful girl has medium puppy energy and loves to romp around, make friends, and enjoy life to the fullest. She has no issues sharing treats or toys and takes corrections well, making her a wonderful canine companion. Having grown up around many dogs, she's used to being part of a pack and would likely love a home with dog friends to play with. Halo's story hasn't always been easy. She came from a heartbreaking hoarding case where she lived in a camper with more than 20 other dogs. Despite her difficult beginning, Halo hasn't lost her joy, optimism, or loving spirit. Now she's ready to leave the past behind and discover what it means to be truly cherished. Like many young pups, Halo is still learning the ropes—especially leash skills. She'll need a family willing to help her build confidence and learn that walks can be just as fun as playtime. With her eager-to-please personality and loving heart, she's sure to catch on quickly. Whether she's bouncing through the yard, wiggling with excitement when you come home, or curling up beside you after a day of adventures, Halo is ready to fill her future family's life with love and laughter. They were rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
