Meet Birdie! Birdie is a young dog with a sensitive heart who is looking for a patient, understanding family to help her continue building confidence. While new situations can be overwhelming for her at first, those who take the time to earn her trust quickly discover a sweet, affectionate companion who loves treats, attention, and spending time with her people.Birdie can be fearful when meeting new people or encountering unfamiliar environments, especially while on leash. However, once she has the opportunity to settle in and feel comfortable, her personality truly shines. She becomes more relaxed, seeks out affection, willingly approaches people, and enjoys interacting with those she trusts. One of Birdie's greatest strengths is her love of food and her eagerness to learn. She has successfully completed The Teachable Paws Intern Course and has made wonderful progress through positive reinforcement training. Birdie continues to improve her confidence, handling skills, and overall behavior, and she will benefit from adopters who are committed to continuing her training journey. Birdie would do best in a home that understands fearful dogs and is willing to give her time to adjust at her own pace. In return, she offers loyalty, affection, and the rewarding experience of watching a shy dog blossom into a confident companion. If you're looking for a dog who will form a deep bond with her family and continue to grow with guidance, patience, and love, Birdie may be the perfect match for you.
