Simba and Nala are littermates who have spent their whole lives side by side — napping curled up together, craving attention from the people they love, sleeping in bed with their family, and keeping each other company. They are a ready-made pair who are looking for a home together. Approximately eight years old, they are calm enough to be wonderful companions, yet are young enough to still have a lot of life and love ahead. They lost their home when their person lost his home. They have lived with school-age children and cat-friendly dogs in the past. We took them to a veterinarian where they got a clean bill of health, except someone needs to lose a pound. Or two. They are beautiful, charming, and fun but not so fun they need constant stimulation. They both enjoy being brushed with a glove brush, a good scratching pad, and soft pop music. More about Simba: Simba may share a name with the Lion King, but this handsome gray tabby with a white chest and white paws is more couch royalty than jungle warrior. Those golden-green eyes and distinguished striped coat give him a look of pure nobility — and he carries himself accordingly. On the chunky side (his vet would say he's "working on his figure"), Simba is a playful, toy-loving boy who will happily chase a string across the floor, demand your attention with those golden eyes, and end the evening curled up in bed beside you — because that's where he belongs and he knows it. He also has one extra love language — the gentle nibble. It's simply his way of saying "I like you." Fair warning and also: you're welcome. More about Nala: Nala is the elegant one of the pair — smaller, with gorgeous long gray and white fur, dramatic dark markings around her face, and piercing green eyes. She is every bit the queen her name suggests. Nala appreciates the finer things: being gently brushed, having her ears stroked, and finding the perfect cozy spot. She may take a little time to warm up in a new environment, but once she's comfortable, she's a devoted and beautiful companion who will seek you out for affection and curl up beside you at night. One thing to know: Nala had an injury from her previous owner letting her outside. It left her a little sensitive along her sides — she may pull away from touch there. She is fully healed and healthy; she simply prefers you pet her elsewhere. Simba and Nala have been through a lot. Through no fault of their own, they lost the only home they ever knew. They have weathered uncertainty and change side by side, leaning on each other through it all. What they need now — and truly deserve — is a stable, loving forever home where they can finally exhale, feel safe, and spend the rest of their days being cherished.
