Meet Nala Female DOB: September 27, 2022 Weight: 15 pounds Breed: Poodle / Terrier Mix Spayed (Fixed): Yes Vaccines: Up to Date Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Nala is a sweet, affectionate, and gentle young dog with a loving personality and a calm but social nature. She enjoys being close to people and feels most secure when she is included in daily life with her family. She bonds deeply with her humans and thrives on companionship and attention. Nala is also social with other dogs, but she does have a slight resource guarding tendency around food , so she should be fed separately from other dogs to ensure she feels safe and relaxed during mealtimes. With proper structure and management, she does well in multi-dog environments. At around 3 years old, Nala is past the puppy stage and is ready to settle into a stable, loving home. She enjoys calm interaction, daily routine, and being part of a structured household. She is affectionate, loyal, and enjoys both affection and quiet companionship. As a Poodle / Terrier mix, Nala is intelligent, alert, and emotionally connected to her people. This mix tends to be loyal, responsive, and adaptable when given structure and consistent guidance. Nala would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily companionship and interaction Calm structure and routine Positive reinforcement training Separate feeding from other dogs Moderate daily exercise and enrichment A lifelong commitment to her emotional and physical well-being She will do best in a home that understands her need for clarity and consistency, especially around food. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Like many rescue dogs, Nala may need time to adjust to a new home, environment, and routine. Even well-socialized dogs require patience and consistency during transition periods. She may need gentle reinforcement of household structure and continued support as she settles into her forever home. With stability and understanding, she will build confidence and deepen her bond with her family. Nala will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Consistent daily routine Continued socialization and guidance Calm environment during adjustment Proper feeding management around other dogs Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule : 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn routine 3 months to fully feel at home Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes training, companionship, exercise, and routine veterinary care. Nala will need: Daily walks and interaction Routine veterinary care and wellness checks Preventative care (fleas, ticks, parasites) Proper nutrition and weight management Mental stimulation and enrichment Safe, stable indoor living environment She is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
