Meet Bella! A spirited ten-month-old Labrador Retriever mix currently in Mendham, NJ, whose essence is a vibrant burst of joy wrapped in a striking white coat with black patches. Bella is a medium-sized girl at around 55 pounds and she greets life with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a heart full of affection! She is the kind of companion who happily makes friends with new people, enjoys being close to her family, and brings warmth wherever she goes. Raised in a rural setting with plenty of room to roam, Bella loves outdoor adventures. Whether she is sprinting across open spaces, investigating every interesting scent, chasing birds, carrying sticks like prized treasures, or settling down with a favorite chew toy and a tasty treat, she embraces each day with excitement! Her playful spirit is balanced by a sweet demeanor that makes her a wonderful companion for those who enjoy an active lifestyle. Bella knows how to sit, comes when called, is crate-trained, house-trained, microchipped, spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations. She handles short periods alone well and follows a comfortable routine that includes twice-daily meals, daytime naps, and an early bedtime. Daily dental chews are also part of her care routine. One of Bella’s most lovable qualities is how naturally social she is with people. She is confident around strangers, enjoys attention, and thrives on companionship. She has done well with calm, respectful older children and would be delighted to share adventures, walks, and relaxing evenings with her favorite humans. Bella is selective with other dogs and has a history of serious conflicts with a canine housemate, including incidents that resulted in bite injuries requiring veterinary care. For this reason, she needs a pet-free home where her interactions can be carefully managed and where adopters are committed to ongoing positive reinforcement training and behavior support. Bella absolutely loves people and thrives on human companionship. A securely fenced yard, rural setting, or access to plenty of outdoor exercise would allow her to continue enjoying the active lifestyle she loves.
