Please read the pet description IN IT'S ENTIRETY before applying. Thank you for your cooperation. NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 6/12/2026: Kelli Mae - female - 8 years old - 24.2 pounds - Cocker Spaniel Reason for intake: Sweet Kelli Mae came to us from animal control after she was brought there when her owner went to a nursing home. This poor girl was so heavily matted; she will need a full shave down. Her ears need flushing and treated as well. She's already gone to our groomer and she looks so naked (picture coming soon). She feels so good, though and has a renewed pep in her step! She's heading to our vet the week of 6/15/2026, for spaying and everything else she needs. She did test heartworm negative at animal control so that's a good thing! Stay tuned for this pretty girl to be posted for adoption once she's cleared from the vet. NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link: https://www.facebook.com/share/1B46skRWF5/ OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. “ The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” ~ Gandhi Be responsible ~ Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life. Blessings.
