Meet Dash, the handsome black, senior cat. Dash came to the Shelter after his previous guardian was unable to continue caring for him due to some personal matters. Dash has lived in a home with another senior cat and a cat-friendly husky. The trio got along swimmingly. His previous guardian described him as greeting strangers “like a dog” – real friendly! Dash has been around children ages 3 months and 2 years old. He can get spooked when they are really loud and avoids them during that time. Dash used his litterbox reliably and, although has been previously indoor outdoor, has been indoors more often now. Dash is looking for a retirement home to thrive in. Could that be with you? His adoption fee is sponsored thanks to the Silver Whisker's Society, a fund aiming to get often overlooked senior cats out of the Shelter! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location's Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you'd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
