About

Meet Brownie Female DOB: June 12, 2024 Weight: 8 lbs Breed: Yorkie Mix Spayed (Fixed): Yes Vaccines: Up to Date Microchipped House Trained Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Brownie is a sweet, affectionate little girl with a kind heart and a loyal personality. At 2 years old, she has matured into a wonderful companion who enjoys being close to her people and sharing in everyday life. She has a gentle nature and loves spending time with her family, whether that means going for walks, relaxing at home, or simply being by your side. One of Brownie's best qualities is her loving and devoted personality. She forms strong bonds with the people she trusts and enjoys companionship and affection. She is the type of dog who wants to be included and loved, and she happily returns that love with unwavering loyalty. As a Yorkie Mix , Brownie is likely to be intelligent, people-oriented, and eager to engage with her family. Yorkie mixes are known for their affectionate personalities, bright minds, and adaptability. They thrive when treated as cherished members of the household and enjoy both companionship and gentle adventures. Brownie would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily companionship and interaction Continued positive reinforcement training Mental stimulation and enrichment Structure, consistency, and routine Plenty of love and affection A lifelong commitment to her emotional and physical well-being Her small size and gentle temperament make her an excellent companion for many different lifestyles. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Brownie already has a wonderful foundation and is house trained , which can make the transition into a new home easier. However, like all rescue dogs, she may need time to adjust to a new environment, routine, and family. The rescue environment itself does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, and care, adopters should expect a transition period while Brownie settles into her new life. Brownie will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Patience, consistency, and supervision Time to build trust and confidence in her new home Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule : 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience and love, Brownie will blossom into an even more devoted companion. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes companionship, routine veterinary care, training, exercise, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life. Brownie will need: Daily walks and interaction Routine veterinary care and wellness exams Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and weight management Regular grooming and coat maintenance Mental stimulation and enrichment A safe, stable, indoor living environment Because of her Yorkie heritage, regular grooming and coat care will be important to keep her comfortable and looking her best. Brownie is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
