This friendly fellow enjoys spending time near his people, whether that means plopping down beside you on the couch or following along to investigate your latest project. He likes being included, loves to chat, and is happiest when he can keep you company throughout the day. Melbourne definitely enjoys the challenge of a couple of interactive play sessions each day, and he is also extremely food-motivated. After receiving treatment for severe dental disease, Melbourne no longer has any teeth—but don't tell him that. He still enthusiastically enjoys treats and mealtime and doesn't let his toothless grin slow him down one bit. Although Melbourne enjoys affection, he's the type of cat who prefers to set the pace. A few gentle head and cheek scratches are usually just right, and he'll let you know when he's in the mood for attention. He's looking for a home that will appreciate his companionship, respect his boundaries, and enjoy the quiet pleasure of having a loyal feline sidekick by their side.
