Percival's favorite things include food, birdwatching, napping in cozy hideaways, and quietly supervising whatever his humans are doing with his huge, lemur-like eyes. While he enjoys being around people, he's not especially demanding. Most days he's perfectly happy with a little petting, brushing, and attention before returning to his favorite observation post. Once you've earned his trust, Percival reveals his softer side. He loves holding paws while he naps, pressing his head against yours, lounging across a leg, and showing his affection with the loudest purr you've ever heard. He also has an adorable collection of chirps and cat sounds that make him impossible not to love. Percival would thrive as the only pet in a calm household without small children. He appreciates having his space respected and does best with people who understand cat body language and are willing to let him build trust at his own pace. Cat-savvy adopters will be rewarded with a deeply loyal companion. He takes a daily medication for anxiety, which is easily mixed into wet food. He is up to date on vaccinations, and his occasional watery eyes are simply due to allergies. Percival is being rehomed through no fault of his own. Due to a combination of unexpected housing changes and financial hardship following a layoff, his owner can no longer provide the stable home he deserves. Percival is sweet, social, quirky, and wonderfully unique.
