About

Mocha is a 1-year-old, sweet-hearted princess looking for her forever home! After doing the important work of raising her family, Mocha is finally getting some well-deserved time to relax and enjoy life. She loves spending her days lounging by the window, watching the world go by, and keeping an eye on her playful kittens. While she is still a young cat, Mocha has a calm and mature personality. She would much rather soak up affection and enjoy a cozy nap than race around the house. Mocha currently lives in a private cat suite with her kitties, but she also gets plenty of supervised time exploring the rest of the house. She shares her foster home with three adults, resident cats, and even a gentle German Shepherd who adores cats. She has shown that she can coexist with other feline friends when given slow, thoughtful introductions. Her ideal home would have plenty of windows for bird watching and sunny afternoon naps. She is not much of a climber, but she enjoys lower cat trees, comfy furniture, and any spot where she can be near her people. Mocha loves being petted and is happy to be carried around for a cuddle, though she is usually content sitting beside you rather than in your lap. Before coming into foster care, Mocha lived as a stray. However, it is clear she spent time in a home at some point, as she is comfortable indoors and genuinely enjoys human companionship. Prospective adopters should know that Mocha can be a bit of an escape artist, but she is easy to redirect and can usually be distracted or picked up if she gets curious about an open door. Mocha is scheduled to be spayed on June 20 and will be ready to join her forever home after she has healed. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped.
