Lily is a 6-year-old gentle and loving cat looking for her forever home. Once Lily has time to come out of her shell, she will love you as though she has known you forever. She enjoys spending her days watching the world from a sunny window, relaxing on her cat tree, cuddling on your lap, or simply lying beside you. Lily loves being near her people and will happily follow you from room to room. When she talks to you, she may be asking for attention, inviting you to play, reminding you that it is mealtime, or simply saying hello. Lily is a sweet, affectionate companion who quickly finds a place in your heart. She has a low energy level and is content to spend most of her time relaxing, though she occasionally surprises everyone with a playful burst of energy. Lily currently lives in a home with two adults, including one who works from home full time, and she is accustomed to a calm environment without other pets. Her ideal home is a quiet one where she can settle in at her own pace. She would be a wonderful match for a first-time cat owner looking for a devoted companion. She could also do well with a family that has teenagers, provided she is given the space, patience, and understanding she needs to build confidence and adjust comfortably. Prospective adopters should know that Lily can be shy when meeting new people. Having a safe space where she can retreat helps her feel secure as she gets to know her surroundings. While she may need patience and understanding in the beginning, each day she becomes more comfortable, trusting, and affectionate. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped.
