Meet Bubble Boy (aka Loki), a 7‑year‑old orange tabby with a heart as big as his personality. His previous family adored him and went above and beyond to manage his severe allergies, but ultimately made the heartbreaking decision to surrender him when his care needs became overwhelming. Much like the character from the Bubble Boy movie, this sweet guy just needs a safe, stable environment to help keep his world comfortable. From the moment he arrived, Bubble Boy has been sweet, talkative, and eager for affection. While his scabby fur may catch some people off guard, he’ll quickly climb into your lap, stretch out a leg, and beg for love like he’s known you forever. He’s allergic to more than ten different things—including fleas, mites, and trees like hickory—and relies on long‑term medications to stay comfortable. He has lived with dogs before and did well with them. He has also lived with cats, though he didn’t get along with them in a multi‑cat home. We believe he may do well with one calm, older cat who respects his space. Bubble Boy also thrives on a special sensitive‑skin diet, including Purina Pro Plan Adult Sensitive Skin & Stomach Salmon & Rice dry food and Purina Pro Plan Focus Sensitive Skin & Stomach Arctic Char canned food. He’s looking for someone who doesn’t mind a little extra care and finds joy in helping a special‑needs pet live his best life. If you’re a clean freak with a soft spot for animals who need a bit more TLC, Bubble Boy will reward you with endless affection, conversation, and a bond that’s truly one of a kind. Bubble Boy's adoption fee is $25, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful.
